AM Stem is a morning opportunity to elevate student learning and prepare a new generation for exciting careers in the high tech world of today’s Manufacturing, Information Technology, & Healthcare Science industries. These classes take place at the DXATC campus during periods 1A & 5B and will count towards Vocational or Elective credit.
For AM STEM High School Students, DXATC covers tuition. Students will be responsible to pay their fees and National Certification costs in order to participate. Applicants will be vetted by a committee of industry partners and DXATC faculty to award acceptance into the program.

AM STEM Nursing Assistant (NA)
High school students will learn how to support patients in their activities of daily living in many different facilities. A CNA is a vital part of the nursing team and healthcare system.
Students will gain the knowledge of the following

HEALTHCARE SCIENCES: EMT
Calling all future Emergency Medical Technicians: Training in this program will prepare high school students for the administration of specialized emergency care and the transportation of victims of acute illness or injury to a medical facility. Students will learn roles necessary to work as part of an EMS team. Upon completion of all course requirements, students will be recommended for written and practical NREMT testing for EMT certification.
Students will gain the knowledge of the following:

- BLS Health Care Provider CPRIAED
- Current TB Testing (within 1 year)
- Current immunization records
- Must be 18 years of age within 120 days of course completion
- Blood Pressure Cuff and Stethoscope.
